1973, Massachusetts based Partylite is now an international direct sales company
that offers home décor items, candles, and accessories. Their candle
selection includes votives, tealights, pillars, and tapers, all of them crafted
using high quality ingredients and unbleached cotton, lead-free wicks. They also
offer a line of bath and body products. There are several different fragrances,
and strengths of fragrances, to choose from when purchasing candles, reed
diffusers and other scented items. With collections like African Inspiration,
Thai Inspiration, and Global Fusion, Partylite’s home décor items have a modern,
international flair. Products can only be purchased from Partylite consultants.
New consultants earn their starter kit for free if the starter show has at least
$350 in sales. The starter kit contains business supplies and a selection of
candles and accessories for display at home shows. New consultants must be
sponsored by a currently active consultant, and they must hold at least six
shows during the two-week training period. Weekly commission is 25% of personal
sales, with a 7% monthly bonus when sales reach $2,000. Consultants earn
additional percentages on their own sales as well as profit on the sales of
their downline when they build a team.
